In a pioneering move towards workplace wellness, SGRR Medical College, Dehradun, hosted a unique **‘Yoga Break’** program under the directives of the Ministry of AYUSH. Aimed at relieving stress and boosting productivity, the event introduced doctors to **mindful yoga techniques** that can be easily practiced during work hours. With expert guidance from medical professionals and yoga trainers, participants experienced firsthand how just a few minutes of daily yoga can enhance mental clarity and reduce fatigue. The initiative received enthusiastic response, setting a strong example for integrating wellness into professional routines.

In a remarkable initiative promoting wellness at the workplace, SGRR Medical College recently hosted a vibrant ‘Yoga Break’ program for doctors and staff, aimed at teaching mindful yoga techniques to combat daily stress and fatigue. The event was organized under the directives of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and supervised by the Director of Ayurveda and Unani Services, with support from District Ayurveda and Unani Officer Dr. G.C.S. Jangpangi.

The program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, led by Professor Dr. Megha Luthra and Dr. Puneet Ory, Head of the Community Health Department. The highlight of the event was an insightful session on ‘Mindful Yoga Techniques’ delivered by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Navin Joshi, who urged participants to embrace yoga as part of their daily routine through the ‘Namaste Yoga’ mobile app.

Adding more value to the session, Dr. Manisha Agrawal (Medical Officer, Govt. Ayurveda Hospital) and expert yoga trainer Monika demonstrated simple, practical yoga poses and breathing techniques designed specifically for professionals with busy schedules. These short exercises, easily done at the workplace, help relieve mental pressure, physical fatigue, and emotional stress.

💬 “Just a few minutes of yoga every day can completely reset your energy and focus,” said yoga trainer Monika, as attendees engaged in the guided exercises.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from a host of medical professionals, including Dr. Shashi Munjal, Dr. Rubina Vihor, Dr. Ansar, Dr. Rahul, Dr. Sachin, Dr. Sunil, Dr. Shivani, Dr. Parvinder, Dr. Sakshi, Dr. Narendra, Dr. Ravikant, and Dr. Aviksha.
