Vaidya Navin Joshi, MD (Ayurveda), was honoured as a distinguished Nadi Vaidya at the national seminar “Nadi Vishleshan 2026,” organised at Khushilal Ayurvedic Institute in Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel presented the honour to him at the event, which was attended by Nadi specialists, Ayurvedic physicians and students from across the country.
The recognition highlights Vaidya Navin Joshi’s years of study, clinical practice and contribution to Nadi Pariksha, traditional Ayurvedic knowledge and clinical Ayurveda.
Lecture on the Clinical Application of Nadi Pariksha in Panchakarma Therapy
At the national seminar, Vaidya Navin Joshi delivered a lecture on “Clinical Application of Nadi Pariksha in Panchakarma Therapy.” He shared his insights into the role of Nadi Pariksha in Panchakarma, its practical applications in clinical assessment and the importance of advancing traditional knowledge through systematic study.
Nadi Pariksha is one of the important traditional examination methods in Ayurveda. Physicians use their training, clinical experience and other clinical findings to assess a patient’s condition. The lecture also explored possibilities for integrating the traditional principles of Nadi Vidya with modern research and technological developments.
Nadi Pariksha and Artificial Intelligence (AI): How Can Modern Technology Make a Difference?
One of the important topics discussed at the seminar was the potential role of modern technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Nadi Pariksha.
Vaidya Navin Joshi explained that modern technology may assist in recording data obtained during pulse examination, studying different patterns and supporting analytical processes. However, expertise in Nadi Pariksha cannot depend solely on technological tools. A physician’s experience, continuous practice, tactile perception and clinical judgement remain important aspects of this traditional skill.
Scientific studies, standardised examination methods and evidence-based research are also important for establishing meaningful connections between traditional Ayurvedic knowledge and modern technology.
Promoting Ayurveda and Nadi Vidya on a National Platform
National events such as Nadi Vishleshan 2026 provide a common platform for Ayurvedic experts, physicians, researchers and students. Such gatherings encourage the exchange of clinical experiences, discussions on emerging research areas and opportunities for practical training.
The programme was also graced by the presence of Shri Shobhit Jain, Secretary, AYUSH Department, Madhya Pradesh, and Smt. R. Uma Maheshwari, Commissioner, AYUSH.
The honour conferred upon Vaidya Navin Joshi is an encouraging moment for physicians and students interested in Nadi Pariksha and clinical Ayurveda. The event also highlights the importance of preserving traditional Ayurvedic knowledge, promoting systematic study and exploring opportunities for further development through modern research.
A Confluence of Tradition, Experience and Modern Technology
Preserving and advancing Ayurveda’s rich heritage requires continued study of traditional knowledge, training under experienced practitioners and encouragement of scientific research. Integrating these approaches may open new avenues for learning, research and professional training in the field of Nadi Pariksha.
Tradition + Experience + Modern Technology = A New Direction for Clinical Ayurveda.
