Ayurveda Doctors training the villagers in the remote region of Yamunotri

Most of the parts of Uttarakhand are mountainous areas, so with the opportunity of employment from specialist Vidya (Marma and Panchakarma) of Ayurveda. Along with the joint efforts of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and Uttarakhand Ayurved University, a unique initiative for promotion of health is being done in remote villages of Yamunotri region. This is the first such effort in the country where villagers will get employment and economic progress through Ayurveda. Pad -Abhyanga is also one of the various special techniques of Ayurveda, which can also be called “Foot Massage”. It stimulates the points of the feet . The Chardham Yatra is about to start from the month of May, so the local youth will get financial help. In order to provide employment opportunities from Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council, in collaboration with District Tourism Development Office Uttarkashi and Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun,Under the guidance of Uttarakhand Ayurved University Vice Chancellor Professor Sunil Joshi the Ayurveda Doctors team is training the young villagers the tricks of foot abhyanga (massage). Team of four senior doctors is continuously working in the remote villages of Yamunotri region . Senior doctors Dr. Navin Chandra Joshi, Dr. Deep Chandra Pandey, Dr. Vatsala Bahuguna Pandey and Dr. Neelam Sajwan are included in the said team. Additional Director Smt. Poonam Chand inaugurated the programme. The said team had given free training to the youth of Durbil, Kharsali, Pindki, Narayanpur, Madhesh, Nishani, Badiya, Banas etc., the last village of Yamunotri region from point Brahmachatti.
