New Delhi, 22 November — A woman passenger suddenly collapsed during an Indigo flight traveling from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram. Responding to the emergency announcement made by the cabin crew, two experienced Siddha medicine physicians — Dr. K. Elswarn and Dr. S. Gautam — came forward to offer help.
The doctors first performed a pulse diagnosis on the unconscious woman. By examining her pulse, they identified that she had difficulty in breathing and a weakness in her lungs, which had caused a sudden loss of consciousness.
After accurately identifying the condition, both physicians began immediate treatment through Marma therapy, applying specific techniques to vital energy points on the patient’s body.
Within a few moments, the woman regained consciousness and her condition began to stabilize. This emergency intervention allowed the flight to continue safely without delay.
Family members accompanying the woman later confirmed that she has been undergoing treatment for a chronic lung-related issue. The incident highlights how traditional Siddha pulse diagnosis and Marma therapy can play a significant role in emergency care — providing immediate relief without medicines, purely through therapeutic touch.
Following the incident, renowned Nadi Pariksha and Marma expert the National President of the appreciated the efforts of both physicians and honored them for their exceptional work. He also suggested that Nadi (pulse) examination and Marma therapy should be included in the air travel health protocol, so that passengers can benefit from such emergency support in the future.
