Unexpected Recovery from Cerebral Atrophy through Panchakarma Treatment in Dehradun

A remarkable case has emerged at the Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Majra (Dehradun), showcasing the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment in managing Cerebral Atrophy. Manoj (name changed), a 48-year-old patient who had been sent home by doctors at AIIMS after being diagnosed with Cerebral/Cerebellar Atrophy, found new hope through Ayurveda.

When the patient first visited the OPD of Vaidya Dr. Naveen Joshi (MD Ayurveda) on April 17, 2025, his jaw muscles were tightly clenched, he was unable to speak, and had severe issues with balance. The family was in complete despair.

Under Dr. Joshi’s guidance, the patient was administered a specialized Panchakarma treatment protocol, which included:

  • Kshirabala Taila Nasya
  • Shirodhara
  • Matra Basti
  • Marma Therapy

The treatment commenced on April 20, 2025. Follow-up assessments on May 6 and May 10 revealed miraculous improvements — the patient regained his voice, his jaw relaxed, and his body balance returned to near normal.

Team-Based Ayurvedic Success
Dr. Naveen Joshi credited this success to his dedicated team — Dr. Vijay, Dr. Aman, Dr. Akanksha, and Dr. Mayank — who continuously monitored and followed up on the patient’s progress.

He emphasized that if young Ayurvedic practitioners deeply explore and apply traditional healing systems, extraordinary results are possible through Ayurveda.
