Cannabis is now a matter of intrest for political leadership.In Ayurvedic texts the medicinal uses of cannabis is already explored.But stigma related with drug abuse always creates a misconception among common men and political leadership.But the scenario is totally changed now, the political leadership is advocating the agricultural growth of new variety of cannabis having low THC content for industrial uses.
The chief minister of Uttarakhand Sri T.S.Rawat was advocating controlled cultivation of special varoeties of cannabis seed having low THC content. During a pubic gathering “REBAR” he told to hill peoples as well as the investors to invest in this segment.He told that cannabis fibre products like Jackets,Shirts,Shawls,Shoes and oils are widely used across the globe.
